SRA Proposed Rules and Regulations for Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork Reservoir

The Issue

For years, park owners, businesses and tenants have invested not just millions of dollars, but also our time and efforts into our properties surrounding Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork Reservoir. These investments and our associated rights are now under threat due to the current and proposed rules and regulations of the Sabine River Authority (SRA). A copy of the draft rules and regulations can be found here: SRA Proposed draft rules and regulations

We have carefully developed and maintained these properties, enhancing the value, beauty, and appeal of the area. Our commitment has helped boost local tourism, contributing positively to the economy. However, under the proposed SRA regulations, we stand to lose our investments, which will have a negative impact on the local economy.

We deserve clear and fair rules that respect our property rights and the investments we have made. For this reason, we request the SRA to consider revising its proposed rules and regulations. A balanced approach that accommodates both property lessees, investors and the community's interests will benefit everyone involved.

The SRA will be accepting public comments regarding revisions of the Draft Rules and Regulations for Lake Tawakoni and Lake Fork Reservoir through December 13, 2024. Please write to them or send an email. Here is the information to achieve this. It's critical that your voice is heard and by writing to them will hold the biggest impact than signing this petition.
