To Localize Seiken Densetsu Collection for Nintendo Switch

This petition had 740 supporters

Square Enix has announced that Seiken Densetsu Collection will launch on June 1st, 2017 in Japan for the Nintendo Switch.  This title is a compilation of three previously released games:

  • Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden - Localized as Final Fantasy Adventure in the US and as Mystic Quest in the EU.
  • Seiken Densetsu 2 - Localized as Secret of Mana.
  • Seiken Densetsu 3 - No official translation has been released!

When asked on Twitter about a possible localization, president of M2 - the company developing the collection, Naoki Horii had this to say:

"Eng ver. of Seiken Densetsu 3: If a translation exists, Square Enix would have it, not us. If not, I don't think it's impossible to make one, but we haven't looked into it. If you really want an Eng ver, I think the best chance would be to show Square Enix your enthusiasm."

Now - here's your chance to show Square Enix our enthusiasm for this project!  Bringing Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana to a new audience is a compelling prospect by itself, but to see an official localization of a Super Famicom title from 1995 is beyond exciting!  Let's show Square Enix and the gaming industry that there's still a desire for modern audiences to experience these "lost" classics.
