Bushido Blade 3

Bushido Blade 3

The Issue

Bushido Blade, and it's sequel Bushido Blade 2, were in a league of their own in terms of fighting games. One skilled hit could end a match, and standoffs could last as long as they had to. This game had a genius premise that made sense. You can't chop someone though the face with a sword and have them running around like everything is just fine until an arbitrary power bar runs out in the real world, so why have it in a game? If you cut an arm off, it's off. If you cut a head off, the round is over. Anyone familiar with the original games knows the potential of this game to be one of the greatest games of all time. Why in this day and age of countless lackluster remakes and sequels can we not have a game that beckons modern hardware to give gamers a competition like no other? I understand that after the Square/ Enix merge there were decisions that had to be made, but now the decision must be made to revive this classic.
