It's illegal to have a beehive in the beehive state. At least it is in Springville. Every city in Utah County permits beekeeping in residential areas except for Springville. What's worse, is when they made beekeeping illegal, not a single word was mentioned around bees in the city council meeting.

It’s time for Springville to repeal the bad law and let people keep bees in residential zones.

We took some time during the public comments section to bring up the issues. The next step is for the planning commission to discuss the current ordinance and their suggested changes. We hope to have time during the next meeting on July 12th. The more people we have who've signed this petition the better.
