Stop the forced rezoning of the Patrician Mobile Home Park!

The Issue

The details:

Where: Springfield City Council Chambers, 225 5th Street

When: Monday, September 16th, at 6:30 PM

Who: Anyone who sympathizes with our plight

The Patrician Mobile Home Park is under threat of being rezoned for commercial use and displacing 81 homes and more than 130 senior citizens, most of whom are on fixed incomes.

We are in the midst of a housing crisis upon a housing crisis. The owner of the Patrician Mobile Home Park, located in Springfield, has proposed a plan to redevelop the community into commercial real estate and throw us out of our homes. The residents will be left with nowhere to go if this plan is allowed to move forward. We need your help.

The residents won the initial decision at the Planning Commission and their fate now rests in the hands of the Springfield City Council. The next step is to show up to the City Council meeting on September 3rd to make our voice heard! We need the larger community to show up and say loudly that the Springfield City Council should put people before profits, but it will take a large number of people speaking up to convince them!

Please consider providing up to three minutes of testimony to City Council, but we hope you will still come even if you are not comfortable with public speaking.

Please sign this petition and show up at the Springfield City Council to stand in solidarity with the 100+ residents of the Patrician Mobile Home Park. We need your help to save our homes!
