We’ve created this petition for everyone to be aware that stopping harmful accounts can help protect children from online predators and safeguard the communities around them. The account in question, “kogyaru_official,” presents itself as promoting the Japanese gyaru subculture — a fashion & beauty-based alternative subculture known for teenage girls rebelling against East Asian beauty standards and societal norms. However, this account allegedly inexplicably involves children in ways that are inappropriate, harmful, and dangerous.
私たちは、この請願を通じて有害なアカウントを停止することが、子どもたちをオンラインの捕食者から守り、コミュニティを安全に保つために不可欠であることを広く知っていただきたいと考えています。問題となっているアカウント「kogyaru_official」は、ギャルサブカルチャーを宣伝しているように見せかけています。しかし、このアカウントは、子どもたちを不適切かつ有害で危険な形で巻き込んでいるとされています。

- 腹部や顔のピアス、レーザー脱毛などに代表される、半永久的な身体改造や美容処置を受けさせられ、永久的な傷跡や口腔への損傷、さらには発育への長期的な悪影響を残す危険にさらされている子どもたち。
- Children eating foods with sexual implications, such as cucumbers and other sorts of long-shaped foods.
- きゅうりなどの細長い食品をはじめ、性的な意味合いを持つ食べ物を子どもに食べさせ、不適切かつ有害な行為にさらしている子どもたち。
- Children appearing in music videos that promote adult themes with mature settings and inappropriate lyrics, furthermore exposing them to content that isn’t suitable for their age.

- Children wearing swimwear and clothing that is inappropriate and revealing for their age, which is unsafe and furthermore leads to their exploitation.

- Children having their hair being styled in ways that can cause long-term hair damage, such as having their hair repeatedly bleached and braided.

For countless times, the “kogyaru_official” has heavily sexualized and exploited their models, with some of the youngest models just being six years old. Kogyaru was originally intended for high school girls who were known for having outgoing and rebellious personalities who reject conformity, whilst wearing loose socks, shortening their skirts, and wearing fake nails. Currently the new Kogyaru models are now elementary school children. These children have been in inappropriate clothing, sexually suggestive videos, and much more disturbing content.

One of the young models, who is an exclusive model for KOGYARU, had videos displayed on her account practicing pole dancing. Allegedly, it was stated that she practiced for fun, but videos from a different account showed her performing on stage in front of others. In one of these clips, the model was wearing only a vest and a school skirt with shorts underneath. She was only eight years old. The clips have now been deleted.
KOGYARUの専属モデルであるモデルAは、自身のアカウントでポールダンスの練習を行う動画を公開していました。一部では、彼女が楽しみのために練習していたとされていますが、別のアカウントからの動画では、彼女が他者の前でステージ上で演技している様子が確認されました。これらのクリップのうちの1つでは、モデルAはベストとスクールスカート（下にショートパンツを着用）だけの姿で映っており、当時わずか8歳でした。これらのクリップは現在削除されています。
More alleged content that was allegedly deleted showed several of the models sat down with no shoes on, posing with their feet towards the camera. Other alleged photos showed a young model eating a whole cucumber stick. There are still some videos with different models eating long or cylinder-shaped foods, which can be interpreted as inappropriate. Another model, who has been severely exploited, was seen wearing inappropriate clothing such as thongs, straps, tube tops, garter belts, and extremely short clothing. The young model has several body piercings. Her oldest posts from 2024 showed her to have a nose, belly, and tongue piercing. She is only twelve years old in those pictures at the time when this happened. We are unsure at what age she got them pierced, however no young child should already have several body modifications made that can cause serious damage to their body. The model is one of the new debuted models in EGG Magazine, which is a well-known popular gyaru magazine that was launched in 1995, but later been relaunched in 2018 after being discontinued in 2014.

Adding to the concern, the account has allegedly attempted to conceal its evidence by deleting videos and posts after they were reported, which appears to be an effort to avoid detection. This pattern of behaviour proves that they are aware of the harm their content is causing the children, but only remove posts if they are called out by several people. Unfortunately however, these children aren't the only victims of exploitation. Several toddlers and babies are being dressed up in gyaru in ways which are inappropriate. Parents are dressing them up in short skirts, belly/crop tops, and several other revealing clothing that no young child should wear.

This unnecessary exploitation of the children often appeared not only misrepresents the vibrant gyaru culture, but also puts the safety and well-being of these young individuals at great risk. It is unsettling to think that these videos and images are being circulated and could fall into the wrong hands, possibly leading to devastating consequences.

The gyaru subculture is renowned for its unique fashion, mindset, lifestyle, and cultural expressions, which should be celebrated allowing the children to be presented as gyaru appropriately. This petition is to spread awareness not only to the gyaru community, but to all. Gyaru was never meant for children of this age, and should never be misused in ways that exploit or endanger minors.

We need your help to spread awareness of this situation to stop “kogyaru_official” and EGG Magazine from exploiting these children. The safety and protection of minors are vital, and it is imperative to ensure that these accounts are investigated and moderated or removed. Exploitation is a monster. It doesn’t always roar or show its teeth. It lurks silently, like a devil watching children being twisted and harmed. It hides behind “cute” pictures, trends, or profit, patiently waiting for the right moment to manipulate, twist, and inflict harm. But make no mistake—it harms children, and it must be stopped.
