Spread Kindness. Share Joy.

The Issue

Hey there,

My name is Zina and my 27th birthday is coming up. On December 9th to be exact. Last week, during Thanksgiving dinner my mom asked me “so what do you want for your birthday?” I sat and pondered the question for what probably seemed like an eternity to my mom who sat across from me. In that moment, I realized that I am very thankful and grateful and that I do not need or really want anything. The only thing that I really want isn’t a new phone, a new dress, a new anything really. The only thing I really want is for people to focus on the important things during this holiday season. Kindness. Joy. Love. That is my birthday wish! Whether it’s letting someone step ahead of you in line, paying for the coffee of someone standing behind you or simply letting someone know how appreciative you are of them – it really is the little things that make the biggest difference.

In keeping with the kindness spirit, I would love if my family, my friends, my friends friend’s, anyone who is in the giving mood will sign a pledge that they will complete at least one random act of kindness anytime during the month of December. It’s simple – by signing the pledge you promise that you will complete at least one random act of kindness to make someone smile unexpectedly. Also, if you could share this with just one more person so that we can all spread the holiday love, I would be very appreciative :) Please join me in sharing joy and kindness this holiday season and sign the pledge!

Forever thankful,
Zina Ajlouny
