Deployed military members often have a difficult time accessing WiFi. Now especially, in the current COVID crisis, the military has had to implement new policies and adapt schedules to ensure the health and safety of deployed personnel. For example, deployed Active Duty Navy personnel will have fewer opportunities to pull into different ports and access resources like WiFi on land as the Navy attempts to limit their exposure.

Music is an enormously helpful outlet during the stress of deployments, providing moments of relief during the months-long stretches of difficult work and constant time away from home. On the 30th day of separation from comforts such as WiFi, the paying subscribers to services like Spotify and Apple Music lose access to their downloaded music. It can be weeks or months before military members are able to reach internet access and refresh their much-needed, and still paid for, music collection. 

Spotify and Apple must develop an option for deployed military members to extend the length of their download to account for the unique limitations of their environment. Please help spread the word of this simple way to support our service men and women.
