Bring “The Ecstatic” by Mos Def back onto Spotify

Bring “The Ecstatic” by Mos Def back onto Spotify
The Issue
A couple months ago, “The Ecstatic” by Mos Def was removed from Spotify, likely due to label disputes involving Mos Defs home label, Rawkus Records, and the label which the album was released under, Downtown Records. Spotify based fans of Mos are devastated to see such hits as “Auditorium (feat. Slick Rick)”, “Quiet Dog”, and of course, “History (feat. Talib Kweli)” and produced by the late J. Dilla. These songs are now lost on longtime fans and supporters, who are now driven to either switch platforms (a huge inconvenience), pirate their music (a lose-lose situation), or simply forget these songs. To add insult to injury, the album is still present in Spotifies UI, both under the “jump back in” album recommendations and the cover of the “This is: Mos Def” playlist. We hope that through this petition we can convince Yasiin, Rawkus, Downtown, or Spotify to make this important album available again.
