TLDR; Don Cherry is complete trash and DOES NOT deserve a platform like the one he has. He needs to be removed from television. 

Don Cherry does nothing but express racism, xenophobia, and bigotry on national television. He shames immigrants for not sharing his views, he is beyond quick to judge. He has some weird hate for Europeans. The 'Us against Them" rhetoric that he speaks of is just so dangerous, this is a place where we need to work towards actually making hockey for everyone. 

I'm sick when I hear:

"thats how you dress [in reference to Sidney Crosby and other NHL players], and not like those basketball thugs in the NBA"
"shut up and dribble"
"stick to sports"
"keep politics out of sports"
"diabetes stuff"
"you people who come here"

Come on now, why is it still a thing? IN 2019.

Also, he denies climate change.......

He gets paid way too much to just be spewing crap to viewers. He does literally nothing for the growth of this great sport. All he does is be loud, talk over Ron MacLean, and say outrageous things, all while wasting people's time. The fact that he still has a job is messy and really just sad. Cherry is an embarrassment to not only hockey, but also Canada.  TRY SOMETHING NEW FOR THE FIRST INTERMISSION. He is way past his time on television and he needs to go.

Side note: I don't appreciate the complacency of Ron MacLean in all of this, and I'm sure others don't too.
