Some very exciting news yesterday, as no doubt you would have seen in the press.

The remaining question is whether team sports will also be allowed in larger groups for vaccinated and more importantly unvaccinated children under 12. This is not entirely clear to me, and since all my boys are under 12, I am looking forward to finding out about the details of the new rules.

While I am personally ok to vaccinate my own kids (despite not being convinced about the merits of doing so for younger children in general), not all parents are comfortable with this and it is ultimately the children who get penalised.

Having said that, yesterday was a great day, with the obvious finally being stated publicly by the government. So whether you are a football, rugby, netball, cricket, basketball or whatever team sport parent, thank you for supporting this initiative and helping spread it. We will never know the impact we might have made, but at least it gave us "some" hope all along by being able to respectfully express an opinion.
