I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has been to pay their respect to my brother down Laleham road, where he died on the 21/02/2021. But after nearly 11 weeks since he passed away, there’s been a few complaints made to the council about the flowers being there. 

The council have informed my family that all flowers and memorabilia have to be taken away. We can’t bear the thought of nothing being left where my brother took his last breath. The council is making us feel like they want my brother's memory to be wiped away and forgotten about. He was an 18 year old who lived in Staines his entire life and has been a part of the community his entire life, how is this fair?

I wouldn’t mind but my mum and I go every night to tidy up and make sure everything is clean and tidy and not an eyesore, also to light the lanterns every night and every morning my uncle goes to blow the lanterns out.

This is heartbreaking to us, as this is the only place we feel close to being with my brother again. I just hope no one else has to go thought what we have to go through. The only place we go to feel closer to my brother is being ripped away from us due to people not liking it being there...
