Speedway convenience stores have discontinued Little Debbie's economic line of snack cakes because the manufactor raised the cost.  They are pushing the higher profit line of cakes with higher profits.  The cheaper cakes are loss leaders that draw people to the store and they usually purchase higher profit items.  Not carrying Star Crunches, Fudge Rounds, or other popular cakes is making it inconveniet for regular customers who must either change their routine by going to other stores or buy a higher product.  Part of the appeal of the cakes is the cheaper price.
