We are requesting that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation reduce the speed limit on Park Ave. in Weymouth. The current speed limit on the section of this road with entrances to Weymouth High School and St. Francis primary school is 40 MPH. Within this residential stretch of road, there are also two crosswalks used by many pedestrians. We feel that 40 MPH is an unsafe speed and would like to see it reduced in the interest of public safety.
