I was selected to go the State Summer Games for Special Olympics Ohio representing Franklin County Special Olympics in Bowling for the second year in a row. I was very happy about it because I attended every practice. I will do my best at the State Summer Games. However, the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany starts from the 17th-25th of June. I wish members from Team Ohio would have been selected like Powerlifter Kevin Cantrell, and some other athletes and coaches to go Berlin. The State Summer Games is from the 23rd-25th of June at The Ohio State University. Special Olympics Ohio could have moved the State Summer Games to the first or second weekend in June or 30th of June-2nd of July to accomodate the World Games in Berlin. My director for Franklin County Special Olympics heard me talking about Returning the State Swim Meet back to Columbus and the Reinstatement of Regional Bowling Tournament Qualifiers, said it has been 4 years. He sounded like that I should give up the fight. After talking to one of managers at the Westerville Jaycee Pool, my summer pool home for swimming; she felt that I should continue of my fight because of my passion for it because State Swim Meet should be back at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on The Ohio State University campus and the Reinstatement of Regional Bowling Tournament Qualifers instead of League Play. I am not giving up until the things are met. Thank you for your support and will focus on my Bowling event because I won Gold last year, but I just want to do my best. Thank you again.
