Thank you for signing my petition on Returning the State Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio back to Columbus, Ohio. I have heard about The Ohio State University wanting to charge Special Olympics Ohio to use the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion; but there is a certain employee(s) at Special Olympics Ohio who have connections in the Toledo and Northwest Ohio areas. However, I am not naming any names, but some of you may know who it is. Right now, I cannot name any names. Also, there are some rumblings about some budget cuts for Special Olympics Ohio and they had to make some changes in events and on how the organization is operated. It is important for all sides to get together and get the State Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio back to its rightful home in Columbus, Ohio on The Ohio State University campus area at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. I feel for the people who live in Cincinnati, Dayton, Athens, and the southern part of the state of Ohio to travel 4-5+ hours depending on winter road conditions to get to Bowling Green State University in Wood County, near Toledo. Please feel free spread this word around, need all the help that I can get to this event back to its original home at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on The Ohio State University campus area and to make it easy for people all over Ohio to travel.
