Open Letter to the Parliament of Singapore

Dear Speaker of the House,

I believe that Mr. Ong Ye Kung has made a false statement to the Parliament on the 27th of July, 2021.

On Point 83 on his Official Statement, addressed to you, Sir, the Speaker of the House:    

"When our whole society is very highly vaccinated and we have transitioned to living with COVID-19, we should make very little differentiation between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated."

His statement is false and deceptive against the people of Singapore. Omicron is very mild, and Singapore has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world.

Yet, Mr. Ong has gone forward to apply yet even more illogical, harsh and painful discriminating measures. Like removing essential PET rights for employees.

His statement is very misleading and had caused much suffering and confusion to our citizens who had believed and trusted him. This misrepresentation of the situation has led to people relying on it to their detriment, especially, livelihoods.

Sir, I hope you will do your sacred duty and refer Mr. Ong Ye Kung immediately to the Committee of Privileges for investigation.
