Please sign this petition to urge Department of Interior officials to protect the Castle Mountains from industrial development so that future generations can enjoy the beauty of this landscape and the diverse wildlife that inhabit the region.

Bighorn sheep, mountain lions, and golden eagles call the Castle Mountains home. The desert grasslands also offer a unique opportunity to reintroduce pronghorn antelope so they can roam where they once did before they were locally extirpated over a century ago.

Despite broad community support for a national monument here, some for-profit interests are asking administration officials to reduce conservation lands in the Castle Mountains to allow for expanded mining and other industrial development that would threaten wildlife, water resources, and landscape integrity.
