The Bronx is in desperate need of affordable housing, services for our seniors, and parks for our families.

So why are we considering bringing in unwanted development and the traffic and congestion that come with it?

A large-scale retail development, Baychester Square, has been proposed on the site of a former driving range on Gun Hill Road, adjacent to I-95 and Bartow Ave. If the rezoning goes through, this will mean thousands of additional vehicles from other areas clogging our already congested roads and intersections - making our streets less safe and hurting air quality and our quality of life.

We need affordable housing, park space, services for seniors and community facilities - not mass commercialization and development that hurts our neighborhoods.

Tell Council Member Andy King and Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. to oppose the rezoning of Baychester Square and work for our communities.
