Dear Friends and Fellow Canadians,

The proposed plan by the United States to abandon Ukraine, turn its back on NATO, and realign with Putin's Russia is a matter of grave concern which requires strong, vocal opposition by the Canadian government and all provincial premiers. It is a dangerous shift that undermines international stability, our futures and our children's futures.

We, the Canadian public, expect our leaders to speak loudly on the potential global repercussions of these choices. They go against the founding principles of NATO, which was established to help secure lasting peace in Europe. They could be a catalyst for international conflict.

These developments starkly echo the 1920s and 1930s, decades defined by the growth of extremism and general indifference until it was too late. We should not sleepwalk into a similar situation. Now, not later, is the time to speak out. 

Let's use our collective voice to alter this dangerous trajectory. Please urge our leaders to take a strong, loud and righteous stand against these plans and protect democratic values and global stability. Stand up for Ukraine, for NATO and against the new authoritarianism.
