Hard-working adults, children and seniors who cannot make ends meet are forced to go without eating for sometimes several days at a time. September, Hunger Action Month, is a time where we can all join together to fight hunger in America.

Nutrition assistance programs have always had strong bipartisan support, yet at a time when 1 in 6 American struggles with hunger and unemployment remains over 9%, cuts are being discussed. Cutting nutrition programs is not a way to balance the federal budget.
