The Issue

The Spanish program at Morehead State University has faced challenges when offering the upper level classes that are necessary for students to graduate with the major or minor. Due to low numbers the University is not wanting to utilize resources to offer this class in person and to pay the professor to teach it. This course in particular is a core requirement and not just an extra elective for credit hours to be reached. Instead they are wanting to offer it as a self-study which would mean the professor does not get paid for her work. While this would mean the students are still able to complete their degree it will add an extra challenge to an already difficult task. Please sign in support that the class should continued to be offered in person and with pay to the professor so that these students and adults can reach their academic and professional goals.
