Another Dolphin Is Dead at Oceanogràfic
Another dolphin has died at Oceanogràfic Valencia. Echo was transferred from the closed Marineland Canada to Spain on the 26th of August. Less than a month later, she is dead. Echo arrived with serious vision problems and other existing health issues. She developed difficulties swallowing and respiratory problems before her condition rapidly deteriorated on Wednesday. Her death comes less than a week after Jelly Bean, a beluga transferred to the same aquarium, died. A necropsy will now investigate Echo's cause of death. Two cetaceans transferred to this Spanish aquarium have now died within days of each other. Moving dolphins and whales from one tank to another is not freedom.
