Southwark Council - Stop the 5G phone mast application at 86 Ewer Street, SE1.

Southwark Council - Stop the 5G phone mast application at 86 Ewer Street, SE1.
The Issue
We are concerned residents of Braque Building, who, by pure coincident, were only notified through a 3rd party planning portal website on plans for a 5G telecommunications base station comprising 6no antennas and 2no transmission dishes have been applied for installation on top of our building.
This comes directly after residents fought a 5-year long battle to obtain EWS-1 certification for this building, during which time they were unable to sell our homes. This is now compounded by the lack of notification and opportunity to consult with Southwark Council on our valid concerns regarding this planning application.
Without a comprehensive, honest discussion of this planning, residents are left to speculate on why the following points have not been considered. This has warranted this petition to be created to stop this application moving forward based on the following -
- No consideration of residents, including lack of notification of the intended plan.
- Local resident's direct view will be significantly impeded.
- Lack of consideration of the existing sky roof garden at the top of the building.
- Local resident and business proximity to mast installation.
Southwark Council - you have the power to reject this 5G phone mast application based on the fact it does not consider any of the points raised.
It is crucial that our municipality takes this responsibility seriously and listens to the voices of those who live and work in the area. Proper notice should be given, and public meetings should be organised to discuss potential impacts and alternatives.
