The Sigma Chi fraternity building has hung a giant banner off its balcony saying "Make America Great Again". Since they are a university affiliated organization and this is a highly polarizing election, some students have expressed that it's inappropriate for them to display blatant support-especially as many diverse prospective students visit our campus and pass by this everyday. This banner represents a candidacy where extremely hateful rhetoric has been spewed and many students feel unsafe and unwelcome as a result of such prominent organization on campus displaying this banner. We urge them to take it down and to instead privately express their opinions in order to maintain a classy, neutral, and welcoming of ALL students university environment.
