CLOSE The suspension of a substitute teacher who has worked in the Southeast Polk Community School District for more than 40 years has caused a stir among thousands of alumni, community members, students and parents. Their signatures have flooded an online petition to bring back Lois Johnson, affectionately known to many as "Grandma" or "LoJo."
