Matthew Mobilio, the South Whitehall Township Commissioners recent social media statement on the presidents walk, to pay his respects to St. Johns Episcopal Church,  invoke violence and contradict the bipartisanship of the South Whitehall Board of Commissioners as well as the rest of the United States. This statement demonstrates Commissioner Mobilos’ bias nature and presents statements that are not backed by evidence but instead divisive, racially charged opinions.

During this time of complete chaos, there is no benefit that can come of this comment being posted on any social media platform. In fact it just stokes the fire and creates more violence, which is destroying our cities, towns, communities, and residents.

In order to create the peace Commissioner Mobilio so desperately speaks of, it would be in the township’s best interest for him to step down immediately. Now is not the time to threaten any group, by any public official. We should be promoting ways to end the chaos in this country and not instigate the situation. In order for the law to work effectively, those in power must demonstrate a respect for ALL of their constituents and maintain impartiality.
