Keep Hamworthy Train Station

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

Under a new timetabling proposal by South Western Railway, they are proposing to drop Hamworthy Station from the twice hourly London Waterloo service due to it being ‘rural’, and instead replace it with a once hourly Weymouth to Portsmouth service. This means that anyone wanting to head to London, Winchester, Woking, or any other stations will either have to swap at Southampton or go from Poole.  Anyone who regularly travels from this station will know that it can - in no such way - be classed as rural. Instead, it is always busy on its twice hourly trains, in particular the Poole High students who use the trains as easy and quicker access to get to school in the morning. By removing Hamworthy from being a regular stop, all passengers will struggle with their travel, as it would take much longer for us all to catch buses or drive to Poole Station, especially at peak times at the beginning and the end of the day. Please sign to keep Hamworthy station a regular twice hourly station; Upton, Hamworthy, Turlin Moor and the other near surrounding areas rely on it!
