Because of the Coronavirus, the majority cars are out of circulation. So, now is the perfect time to build bike lanes as there is less traffic and more people have been riding their bicycles. South Pasadena has recently built several new bike racks and creating new bike lanes to accompany the racks would be the logical next step.

Currently, there are separate bike lanes that run down Marengo and El Centro Mission. There are also sharrows (shared bike/car lanes) here and there. But, this is not enough.

When there is separation between cars and bikes, it is safer for people to ride their bicycles. Also, with more people biking, there will be less cars on the road which will help to environment.

We need separate bike lanes down Oak, Fremont, Fair Oaks, Monterey, and Mission.
