The Issue

Petition to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia

To the Honourable the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, in Legislature Assembled:

We, the undersigned residents of British Columbia, respectfully petition the Legislative Assembly as follows:

Whereas access to clean and safe drinking water is fundamental to public health, environmental protection, and the economic resilience of our communities;

And whereas communities, water and improvement districts and private water systems across the Boundary-Similkameen and South Okanagan continue to face persistent challenges related to water quality, availability, and infrastructure;

We respectfully request that the Honourable Legislative Assembly urge the Government of British Columbia to prioritize and take action to improve drinking water infrastructure and access in the Boundary-Similkameen and South Okanagan region.

This includes support for modernizing outdated systems, safeguarding water sources, and developing sustainable long-term solutions to ensure every resident has access to safe, clean, reliable drinking water.
