The Coalyard is a supported employment project run in partnership with Motherwell College, the Council and the community and is a vital resource for young adults with additional support needs.

It provides a real working experience for the students, training and supporting them in developing their skills for everyday living future employment and it's a natural opportunity for social inclusion in the town centre.

With opportunities for vulnerable young adults extremely limited throughout South Lanarkshire, this closure would have an adverse effect not only on the current students but also on the future prospects of all young people with additional support needs in the Larkhall area.
