Sharing from Nami Kim’s Facebook Community: https://www.facebook.com/savekoreandogs NOTICE VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED THIS SUMMER 2015 IN BOTH LOCATIONS, SEOUL AND BUSAN, S. KOREA FOR ANTI-DOGMEAT CAMPAIGN Koreans have Sambok/Boknal which means “Three hottest days for eating dog meats” to fight the heat during the summer. The dates are based on the lunar calendar and they are on the 13th July, 23th July, 1st August this year, 2015. It is said that 900,000 to a million dogs are slaughtered during this period out of 2 million dogs consumed per year. Myself and Guardians of Rescue are ready for anti-dog meat campaign this year. We need volunteers in Busan and Seoul who can do voluntary works from early July till early August. VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED 1. Distribute the leaflets/flyers to the patrons/passers-by/shoppers near dog market and dog meat stew restaurants around the market. Being a foreigner is an advantage doing this. 2. Get the people sign the petition sent to the mayors of the two cities, Busan and Seoul. You can save the lives of dogs in the dog meat market, if not meat dog farms who can get slaughtered any time. Anyone interested, please contact: Name: Nami Kim Who am I : advocate/animal rights activist/rescuer/campaigner currently lives in Busan, S. Korea. Contact email: savekoreandogs12@yahoo.com I welcome those who can plan ahead and join us this summer. No accommodation is provided. However, an activists group in Seoul will arranged what is needed by foreign volunteers if you want to be in Seoul and I will take care of the volunteers in Busan. FYI, This campaign has nothing to do with Billboard of Thailand. No international organizations are involved with this, I work with a rescue group, Guardians of Rescue in New York only. The photos: last campaign in July 2014 in the most busy streets and the beach in Busan, S. Korea, in collaboration with a "Foster & Adopt" group in Busan. ------------------------------------------------------------ South Korean dog meat markets are “Hell on Earth!” and we can help to stop it. 1.
