Why ban? Mobile fence, Zem, U+ Child protection, XKeeper mobile. They are a major child protection app to abide by the law on South Korea. In South Korea, every child and teens are forced to install a child protection app instantly after the purchase of a smartphone. However, their major goals are changing as parents are misusing this system to continuously break privacy and to punish children. Children's phones should be secure and private but these apps are like Big Brother in the book 1984. They disable a smartphone's secure feature but giving parent's rights more. They even use MDM technology which was intended for the company's use. These made one of the big competitors, Apple to disallow these protection apps but rather make their own, child-friendly app. As these app advances and blocks lots of exploits that were created due to our parent's misuse, some children even made the decision to commit suicide.

How students are trying to ban these apps and laws: This is not only my thought. More than 10 thousand victims of these apps are not satisfied and started to make exploits make student group to do petition nationwide, and finally made student contact with Korea Communications Commission - A part of the government that manages these laws. This even deserves the president's decision to change the way how these apps should work according to 전기통신사업법 제 32조의 7 (A law about the way and rights to protect a child from noxious media).

Security risks: These app's privacy policy is usually false or placed in unreadable place - which means child is forced to agree these app's privacy policy.

COVID-19 Pandemic: Currently it is peak of covid-19 and we should be up to date with covid 19 information. However, one child protection app tries to hide these information and make children to not be safe with these pandemic.

Online Class: Covid-19 also caused a broad use of online class (E-learning). Google Classroom, E-learning center, EBS Online class are major examples. Some YouTube lectures are unable to be shown, and some external links are disabled - causes children to learn - partially. Some parents misuse these apps in order to enhance study performance but these apps are giving adverse effects.

Solution: Help us to protect child's privacy. I heard that these apps even monitor chat logs, smartphone's essential apps. Please show what parents are monitoring via app clearly. Don't try to monitor child's sensitive information. Do not collect logs without student's agree. This is absolutely illegal.
