Thank you to all supporters that have signed my petition. I’ve been reluctant to update you until now because the abuse of power and authority is still ongoing causing extreme distress to good, honest, decent hardworking families.
Animals are now being left without shelter by the acquiring authority.
Children are afraid as a result of the abuse being witnessed and subjected directly to them by the acquiring authority.
Invasive species are being planted by the acquiring authority onto temporary lands that will now cause immediate harm to animals.
Round up is being sprayed into our waterways by the acquiring authority.
No appropriate measures are being taken to safeguard farms from cross contamination of risk of TB.
EU directives and EU Convention on Humanitarian Rights are being completely breached and all professional code of ethical standards are being completely ignored.
These are very serious issues.
Wednesday last marked a significant day for all those campaigning Nationwide to stop the abuse of CPO’s which are only to be utilised as a last resort. In South Kerry, all viable options were not even considered and a CPO was forced without the inclusion of the Landowners as stakeholders.
The people of Ireland deeply affected by such appalling abuse of power have now united together as the National Greenway Action Association (NGAA) with Independent Ireland TD’s, IRISH RURAL ASSOCIATION, ICSA, INHFA, ICSA, ICMSA, IFA, Deputy Danny Healy Rae and many other senior members of government to bring into question the horrendous abuse of power and have firmly requested an urgent review of all greenway expenditure to date along with a call for all greenway projects to be placed on immediate hold until such a review takes place and the immediate removal of CPO’s off the table for all future recreational infrastructure.
This was as a result of Independent Ireland TD Michael Collins being instrumental in inviting our group, the National Greenway Action Association before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport at which TII were asked to answer questions before the committee on the wrongdoing and abuse of power and being accountable as the funding body for greenways to investigate and hold accountable the acquiring authorities that are wasting tax payers money and abusing landowners to force CPO’s when landowners are being completely excluded as major stakeholders.
Wednesday was a proud day to be Irish and even prouder day to part of such monumental coming together of a united front to safeguard the rights of property owners and landowners across Ireland.
We are at the beginning of changing the face of Ireland in reinstating a safer, more inclusive and sustainable way of seeking to improve the quality of life for all needs but not at the needless exposure of putting private landowners and their families, the environment and their animals through a torturous journey of being ridden roughshod and causing significant harm.
I am once again asking that you might please assist me in forwarding this petition to 5 other people to strengthen, protect and reinstate our rights to ensure that CPO’s are removed off the table for once and for all for all non essential infrastructure. You too will have formed an alliance in making history in our beautiful country to ensure that we are not excluded from the common good.
Your help will once again ensure that if we win together this important issue that is a safeguarding issue that local government and acquiring authorities will be made accountable and responsible for professionally engaging with all stakeholders to find a better way forward together.
Thank you all once again and you are hugely appreciated.
