Our community and our environment is at stake right now more than ever! Fontana's community leaders (The Mayor and the City Council members) are gambling with our future and our health each and everyday. This petition is to oppose the creation of a warehouse right next door to our beautiful school, Jurupa Hills high school. The city officials are putting profit over people. Fontana's city officials believe warehouse campaign donations are worth more than the air we breath. Not opposing this warehouse site will lead to many health complications that we are seeing in Fontana residents now and to all the future generations to attend JHHS, such as: non-stop nose bleeds, nausea, and other respiratory illnesses. Not to mention the dangerous traffic of the diesel trucks right by the students entering and leaving school grounds. How are students suppose to concentrate in the development of their futures when there is noisy factory machines and polluting smelly trucks less than a mile away. Please sign this petition to oppose the municipal decision to build a warehouse right next door to a high school that your children or loved ones are attending or will be attending in the near future. Food for thought: There is endless opportunities after High school than just going straight to a warehouse job as the city officials would like us to believe.
