In the last few weeks I have poured myself into finding this actual law that my doctor stated was the reason for her lack of intervention. Now, I consider myself a somewhat intelligent person, yet I’ve not been able to track down this law she spoke of. What I have been able to learn is that in cases like this it’s often a physicians choice. 
So. This petition may need to be expanded a bit to fit what South Dakota has on its agenda. However, there a new and old laws popping up every single day to control the lives of the unborn. I will be keeping this petition up, in hopes that other parents can use these signatures and our story to help the people of their state. 
As for South Dakota, I will be looking into the fine lines of a doctors oath to find out what exactly what lives they’ve agreed to fight for. If there’s any justice in Almans world, it’s most likely going to be an expansion of this oath to include the lives and well being of premature babies and their parents.
