Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a safe and good Christmas and a happy new year. A few updates ago I posted some facts regarding regional rail, the sale of our country lines and the Lease Agreement between GWA and the State Govt in regards to our lines. Here is another one that may be of great interest to everyone and the public: Fact: The land is leased to Genesee & Wyoming Australia Pty Ltd (GWA) for a term of 50 years commencing 7/11/97 & for the first 5 years of the lease the regional rail network in South Australia was leased to GWA for $1 a year. $1 per year. Is that what our Rail Infrastructure is worth? $1 a year? Surely this is some sort of sick joke. This is from the GWA Lease Agreement - I will post an edited version of it in a separate update.
