Ernest Hickman killed 7 Impala on Wednesday 2 May, by hitting them (seven) with his car. He was speeding inside a Protected Area. For his sins, he received a R2500 fine. This is flagrantly disappointing; this meager fine certainly does not fit the extent of the crime. Firstly, Impala are worth thousands of Rands, he should at least be fined their worth, times seven. Secondly, colliding with one Impala can be considered an accident, perhaps even with two, if they were close together and you really got unlucky, but 7 (seven) corpses strewn on the tar, one after the other after the other, that implies intent. We demand that appropriate action be taken to rectify this, in the name of justice.
