Petrus Miggels was brutally assaulted by police when he was caught illegally purchasing beer during lockdown. His knuckles were smashed using a hammer before he was forced into a police vehicle. Shortly thereafter, he was dropped off and died as he reached home.

We demand the police officers who took part in his murder to be held accountable for their actions, and a new autopsy report released independent from the Independent Police investigative Directorate (IPID) autopsy findings of "natural causes" which was a way to short circuit police brutality investigations.
