HOMEMAKERS Media Holdings is bringing businesses in the home improvement, home services, home appliance and home decor industries together to petition government and policymakers to allow businesses in home-related industries to return to work earlier than Level 2 of the South African Lockdown as currently proposed under the condition that all employees adhere to strict health and safety regulations.

We feel these industries are vital to the economy and the communities in which they operate as they provide jobs to a significant portion of South Africans who have no other means of income during this time. The opening of these businesses will also allow homes and other businesses to be sufficiently maintained and repaired to ensure the safety of the South Africans living in them during the lockdown.
