More videos are arising of homes and shacks being destroyed in South Africa. and the government has not addressed this issue and there is barely any awareness. Please help stop the destruction of homes of South Africans and demand the government to recognise and address this issue. 

People in South Africa are being left homeless facing a pandemic & gender based violence while facing the cold.

In Jan 2020, News24 covered that the number of shacks destroyed in Khayelitsha was not disclosed. The destruction is as a result of illegal occupation however it is a result of those not wanting to pay rent and to build their own homes so that they could use this money on food, clothes and education. 

currently , June 2020. Structures are being brought down in Hout Bay and the city of Cape Town has not taken responsibility for this nor addressed this. 

Government needs to address this issue but first we need to create awareness and to show this is not going unseen.
