Its barely been two weeks since  the NSPCA withdrew support for the use of paintball guns to shoot baboons. The  Residence of Simonstown, Glencairn, Kommetjie and Tokai are seriously feeling the impact owing to these changes. Baboons are freely strolling in these residential areas causing problems such as breaking windows and also forcing themselves in the houses and cause damages. Even if the homes are protected with burglar bars these Baboons still do squeeze themselves in and enter the houses. As much as these  communities love these animals,  they cannot afford the to sit and watch these animals do as they please simply because there's nothing to use to  control them. First of all the residents were never afforded opportunity to comment on the changes and yet imthese changes affect us the most. As the affected communities we decided to take a stand against this and started this petition. We are calling for the support to use of Paintball guns by the baboon Monitors to enable them to control these creatures before they get more violent as they put residentslife in danger.  As long as Paintball guns are used the correct way and from the acceptable distance, Baboons cannot be killed through the use of these guns.
