Due to the Covid 19 pandemic the South African Government has banned the sale of all alcohol while their citizens are on lock down, alcohol has no relation to the effects of the virus and the government are losing large amounts of revenue due to not being able to receive the taxes from alcohol sales, the country cannot afford to lose the revenue with the current pandemic as the south African economy is already under enormous strain as it is. It's a constitutional right for all South Africans to be able to purchase alcohol freely. The government need to make alcohol available to its citizens and give them the choice to drink or not drink and not impliment draconian measures.
