President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the names of his new cabinet last night. 

South Africa has a new Minister and Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs. 

There’s is a massive responsibility riding on their shoulders Rhino, Elephant, Pangolin and Abalone are being poached in South Africa, wildlife crime is out of control. 

The legal domestic trade in rhino horn and the international lion bone trade are embarrassing mistakes made by their predecessors.

Corruption and apparent involvement of government ministers and police in the abalone and rhino poaching syndicates has left a bad taste. 

We wish them well, South Africa needs good governance and so does the environment.
