Conservationists, Wildlife Activists, Economists, Illegal Wildlife Trade Experts warned SOUTH AFRICA that by unbanning the domestic trade in rhino horn they risked a full scale illegal sale of privately owned rhino horn. 

This is so clearly demonstrated by the number of “busts” occurring at OR Tambo airport and at airports around the world and in this instance a shipment on the way to the airport. 

SOUTH AFRICA needs to urgently examine its policies and correct the questionable mistakes made by previous environmental ministers.
