Soundcloud, we are appealing to you as a global community of DJs and producers.

We as a community of DJs and producers from bedrooms to major festival headliners have been utilizing Soundcloud for years as a major promotion and networking tool, one which has been built in a large way on the very foundation of bootlegs and mix sets. Recently a large number of users have experienced more of their content being removed due to your new affiliations such as those with Universal Music and Zefr. While we are not blind to the reasons why, we are hoping that we can find a solution that would allow DJs to publish content on the Soundcloud platform in a way that would benefit both the users and the copyright holders.

Several solutions could be:
• Having a special plan created for DJs and producers to accommodate the specific type of content we wish to upload. This would in return generate revenue and royalties for Soundcloud, artists and labels.
• If necessary, removing the ability to download content so that Soundcloud would have direct control over the uploads in a streaming only manner.
• Stipulating mandatory track-listing so that all works used in uploaded content would be trackable for royalties. In addition providing links to those tracks that can be purchased, generating additional revenue for artists and labels.

Until such time as change has been implemented we as a community vow to not pay for your services or not continue to pay where many of us have.

We the undersigned, call on Soundcloud to find a way to impliment some necessary changes to bring your platform back to the powerful tool it once was for millions of DJs, while ensuring everyone is satisfied in the process.
