Reboot the Original Japanese Animation "Ogon (Golden) Bat" in Theaters

Reboot the Original Japanese Animation "Ogon (Golden) Bat" in Theaters
The Issue
Ogon Bat (Golden Bat in English or Fantasmagórico in Spanish) is a Japanese TV show that aired in the 1930s.
As a toddler growing up in the Dominican Republic, my mother would watch the Spanish-dubbed show at home. Her love for the series has been handed down to me. I've watched just a handful of videos around YouTube and other websites online (primarily Spanish dubbed or Japanese), but I still can't get enough. Sure it's an outdated 1930s cartoon, but I never payed attention to that. The story's plot and Golden Bat's characteristics were enough to make me grow towards the show. I feel that this show deserves a remake- just like Astro Boy did back in '09. According to Astro Boy's ratings the movie was well received by audiences in the U.S. and other countries. A good revival to the Golden Bat series could be nostalgic to elders whom were big fans of the original show and/or after. Then again, Who's to say a Golden Bat remake can't help the Phantom-themed super hero earn a few more million fans?
Description of Golden Bat:
Golden Bat has a golden, skull-shaped head, wears a green and white costume with a high-collared red cape and carries a rapier. He possesses superhuman strength, invulnerability and the ability to fly. He is based in a fortress in the Japanese Alps. Golden Bat is a “god of justice and protector of the weak” from Atlantis who was put into suspended animation in an Egyptian sarcophagus to be awakened in the future to fight the forces of evil. Golden Bat has an evil counterpart known as Kurayami Bat (Dark Bat).
His main antagonist is Dr. Erich Nazo, the leader of a crime syndicate bent on world domination who wears a black costume and mask with bat-like ears.
Story of the Original Series:
Golden Bat's sarcophagus is discovered by Prof. Yamatone and his daughter Marie in a tomb in modern Egypt in the present day. When Yamatone's family is threatened by Mazo (Dr. Nazo's main henchman), Marie starts to cry and beg for help. Her tears fall on Golden Bat's body and reanimate him. From then on, he appears whenever Marie asks for his help.
Overall, I am starting this petition because I believe Golden Bat has been one of the many heroic figures that many people have admired, yet hasn't gotten much attention in the U.S. or other countries. I feel that a remake of this Phantom-like hero and his adventures could generate a massive amount of fandom and popularity in countries where he has gone quiet, or never shown to at all.
If you feel that Golden Bat deserves a remake in theaters, or if you're interested, please help getting this idea known to Sony Pictures Entertainment!
