Sony firmware update in EU, what about USA?

Sony releases the firmware update in EU, a few highlights from a person that have updated the TV using Sony's latest firmware released Feb 22 2017. - Home screen has a new background. - Volume bar now is subtle and not-so-Android-looking (no mure ugly green/grey roundish rectangle taking up so much space). Instead, it's in the left corner where it should be in the first place. This way I don't see 2 volume bars when using my AVR with the TV - Action Menu is transparent and adds to the new cleaner design. - I think Discovery Menu is also transparent now. Overall all Menu windows appear transparent now and look nicer than the opaque ones before taking so much space. NICE! Looks much cleaner and sleek - No more duplicate apps (in featured column & apps section) - UI is SNAPPIER and it finally feels like a new television. The original android version felt like a trash tv from the early days of smart tv.. that was really a shame! Especially when considering the prices of some of those TVs (mine costed around 2500€). - Loading times decreased. When opening apps like YouTube, it's quicker than before. I don't know if that has something to do with 'cleaning cache and data' or 'optimising' that's done after the update by Android. - I can finally connect to my 5GHz WiFi network! In Android 5.1.1 I could only connect to the 2,4GHz WiFi, with 5GHz I had no internet connection (even after several TV/WiFi resets) - 2160p option is removed when watching 60FPS videos on YouTube. The TV couldn't handle 2160@60Hz in YouTube and freezed the image on Android 5.1.1 - Max. Resolution for 60FPS YouTube videos: 1440p - You can of course select 2160p in 30FPS videos Smiley Wink - No HDR supporr for YouTube - No HDR Game Mode Smiley Sad We still have to manually set the 'game settings' https://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KD-65XD9305
