Remove Yasiel Puig from the cover of "MLB: The Show 15"
The Issue
As fans of Major League Baseball we all adhere to the time honored traditions of honor, respect, and sportsmanship. For many of us baseball is not just a game we play, but a way of life that has taught us the aforementioned principles. Yasiel Puig, who wears number 66 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is not a representative of these values. Throughout his already well publicized career, Puig has shown to lack the virtues that make baseball stand out above the rest of sports. He is immature, disrespectful, aggressive, lazy, unwilling to be coached and does not respect his peers and opponents. Not only is Puig an embarrassment to the sport we love, but he is an embarrassment as a man as well. "MLB: The Show" is an extremely popular franchise that most of us look forward to playing regularly. What kind of message does it send to the rest of the world, and young aspiring baseball players /enthusiasts when they see a man such as Puig who lacks character on the cover of the greatest sports game franchise in the world today? I would implore Somy Computer Entertainment's San Diego studio to remove Yasiel Puig from the cover of the upcoming installment of "MLB: The Show".
