North Korean hackers have forced Sony's hand and the hands of major movie theaters across the nation -- there will be no release of this movie in American theaters. By terrorizing the lives of the people behind the movie and the lives of people who may gather to watch the movie, an external threat has succeeded in stifling expression in the United States.
The people behind this attack desperately do not want us to see it. The only recourse it to ensure that anyone can see it at any time, anywhere in the world, from the safety of their own computers, their own TVs, their own mobile devices. Put it up for free and watch it spread like wildfire throughout the entire planet -- the Movie North Korea Didn't Want You to See. Put it up on Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube and charge a fee and watch the same thing happen. Everyone should see this movie just to spite these assholes.
I and my fellow petition sponsors call on Sony Pictures Entertainment to make this movie available to the public in the broadest method possible to spite these fanatics. Show them what the Internet in a free society can do.
